Papa John's Sunway Pyramid Review

Yesterday, a bunch of bloggers from Advertlets had dinner at Papa John's in Sunway Pyramid before heading to MOS. 25 people would be attending the dinner. But in the end only half came. HAHA! Me and JonYKT waited outside the restaurant for 15 minutes. Not that they are busy or anything. They just stood there staring at us and we stared at them! We got inside and talked and talked and talked. Soon the food arrive. The pizza was alright and I didn't try the chicken wing though. HAHA! We had a discount card and we asked how much we could get from the restaurant. One of the guys told us 50% or known as buy 1 free 1. In the end, we only got 15% as one of the waiter said he told us the wrong thing. He specifically said buy 1 free 1 which means 50%! So took some pictures and here is a summary of the restaurant





Service: 1/10. We played a staring game for 15 minutes.
Food: 6/10. Not that bad or not that good!
Ambience: 3/10. Managed to sit on the chair. However their power plug is not working. 2 of them! Rebecca wanted to use her laptop and she could charge it. I think they just put the plugs over there for some show and attract more customers to dine there

This morning my friend was talking with me on the phone about his P1. He had been using Streamyx for 4 years and he jumped to P1. He told me, if you are using P1 and living in the yellow zone, just hope and pray hard the internet gets to connect. I had many friends who potong and in the end they regretted. Not that their service is bad. Actually top class. But they don't stick to their word. It's like first 4 days when you subscribe, they speed will be fast and nice. After that it just drops. But with Streamyx, I don't face disconnections, downtime or unable to connect. If without Streamyx, I will probably be in the stone age without facebook or maybe even blogging right now :)

Just got back from Ministry of Sound with the Advertlets buddies. Had an awesome dinner with the buddies as well. Thanks Josh for the pizza! :D



Look, what I got. Tickets to catch Kris Allen Live in KL! Won it from the Hitz Fm cruisers! I had to sing and become a play toy. But it was worth it. Well, I am getting sleepy. More coming tomorrow! Going to win some crocs! YEAH~

Yesterday I downloaded 4 HD videos of SNSD because of JonYKT. He forced and now I find their music kind of interesting. Well, Jon told me he downloaded the video which takes him hours to complete. That is only 1 video. With the power of Streamyx. I think they love me and I love them. I managed to download 4 videos of the same type in 2 hours. Streamyx memang boleh! I don't get why people ask me to potong. Without Streamyx, I don't think I can download as fast as this. HAHA

MC Asia: The Creations!

A few weeks back, I got invite by JonYKT to MC Asia. He gave me the media or bloggers pass to the event. Can't remember. Anyways, I went there hoping to have some fun! Dance to some awesome trance. Instead, I left the place after 20 minutes. Walked to Pavilion and enjoy the scene of ladies shopping at their favorite shops. I never regretted making that choice.



I will usually go for events early so I can check the place out. I had an early dinner with my uncle and I was already late by 30 minutes. When I reached MC Asia, there was only 20 people! I was like, for real? I knew everyone was waiting for Richard Durand to come out. The reason I was there was to see him perform. So I took photos and talked to some of the people there. After waiting for 20 minutes, I could stand anymore. I packed by bags and went off. Sorry JonYKT for ditching you and thanks for the invite!



So I learnt 1 thing that night. When I go for MC Asia again the next time. Come when the main icon is about to play. This way, you don't have to walk out after 20 minutes and you will have loads of fun!

Yesterday, I downloaded a 60mb file and it was completed within 7 minutes. This is because of Streamyx! I blame them for giving me the super awesome speed. I think if I potong, I don't think I can download within 7 minutes and probably I have to wait for few hours. Potong your head lah!

Streamyx Connection

Recently I have been seeing many people have been saying Stremyx sucks because of their unreliable connection and frequent disconnections. Facebook and twitter is the number one ranting site when it comes to streamyx. Hashtags like #Streamyxsucks are widely used among the Twitter users.





I have been using Streamyx for almost 6 years! I still those old times where you have to dial up in order to surf the internet. Now I can just on my modem and within a minute I get my internet connection. For me, I am a heavy user when it comes to using the Internet. I have tried many other services and they always seem to fail at the time of need.

On average days I torrent at least a movie, play games and surf the net via my wifi network. My internet connection is connected 24 hours a day and at last 150 hours in a week. Downloading a movie has been a breeze. I am using a 1MB line and I pay rm88 a month. Downloading at 105kb/s which is my average speed and touching nearly 150 kb/s which is the maximum I have seen on random days. Playing games like Modern Warfare 2 and World of Warcraft has not been an issue for me as I always get the lowest pings when I frag!

I still remember those days where the 60.xx IP was the hot IP among users. Connecting on the 60.xx felt like you have just strike a lottery. Now I only connect to 115.xx and 118.xx. I don't know what happened to the 60.xx but I had a great time while it lasted. Evethough with the new 118.xx IP, my connection is still blazing fast!



Recently a new Internet provider called "Potong" came into the scene. They claim to be the fastest wireless broadband. From what I have learnt and experience, nothing beat cable Internet connection. The new Internet Provider have been promoting their services widely in the media. Streamyx counter fought back with their ad(above) and offered a new promotion to users.



Recently Streamyx fixed the new Fiber Optics behind my house and the connection has improved tremendously. Last year I wished to subscribe to the 4mb promotion offered by Streamyx but the 4mb connection is still not available yet. I hope streamyx can install the new connection at Subang as soon as possible and hope my number of years with Streamyx will continue!

Some of you might be asking, the Japanese and American are offering 10mb connections at cheap prices. Sure that would be awesome. But the down side I can't live is the quota given. I can use a 10Gb quota within a few hours and if I were to stay in Japan, I am sure my connection will be terminated but not with Streamyx. Some even said they want to migrate because of the internet connection. I can't say much as it is their decision. Well, that is all and No! I am not a Streamyx fanboy. Just expressing my thoughts after using streamyx for a solid 6 years.

Broga Hill Bloggers Outing

Hello, I am finally back home after an intense day. Headed off to Broga Hill at 4.30 in the morning and reached there within 45 minutes. Met Jeremy , Justin Hee , Feeq ,my dad and the rest at the entrance of the palm oil plantation



We walked and walked until at one point I asked the group to carry on. My right leg cramp and I couldn't climb any further. So I rested there with my dad and we headed back down. I think I was 3/4 of the journey till I reach top. Met many lost people along the way and some were scolding their tour guide for bringing them to the wrong road. HAHA! My leg was feeling a little better and decided to try a new road to the top. Walked through some thick jungle, up and down the hill. There was an open space and we decided to set up the camera. Took a couple of shots and we couldn't see any sun rise and it was already past 7am.



We could see some red stuff across the horizon and thought the sun would rise at the side we were waiting. So we waited and waited for the sun. Took a couple of shots and walked once again



Walked and walked and I saw this rock where it was the perfect spot to see the sun rise. However the clouds were blocking it. The red sky was only visible



The sun went up and I headed back down. My dad drove to Carey Island, Banting, KLIA and Broga. Explored those little roads and saw a waterfall which appeared out of nowhere. I was suppose to pan airplanes but the road was closed as they were building the new terminal. I feel exhausted and happy at the same time. Planning on climbing again to see the real sun rise. Today was not that great due to the clouds blocking the sun. There is always a next time.
