Moshi Moshi. How are my readers doing? Ready for day 2 of my Japan trip? Want more food? Japanese girls? cameras? Well, this time it will be all about Japanese food. So sit tight and enjoy the pure authentic Japanese food that will make you hungry! I didn’t do much on day 2 as I went hunting for a new body and manage to find it. Sadly I didn’t buy it yet because they say I can get a 5% discount if I show my passport. So I went back home empty handed as I didn’t carry my passport with me

Later that night I was craving for Japanese food. Since I am in Japan, felt that I should get some original Japanese food that are prepared by pure Japanese chefs. Not that Malaysia doesn’t have Japanese chefs, the feeling of eating something made by Japanese chefs from Japan taste better. After walking for more than an hour, I finally found the best restaurant which was called an-an. The restaurant is a 3 minute walk from my hotel.

The first appetizer is made up of small potatoes mixed with prawns. Great way to kick of the dinner.

This one is made up of tofu and prawns were used as decorations at the top. Yes, the prawns are edible. HAHA

IMG_4503
Grilled Gingko with a little salt on top. It taste different compared to the normal ginkgo where you normally find in tong sui.

IMG_4500
Authentic Gyoza from Japan. It was marvelous. The Gyoza is made up of prawns and chicken

IMG_4505
Grilled Chicken with Japanese radish. You can add a little lemon to it. The chicken just melts in your mouth. The savory taste will last till the end

IMG_4518
Chicken marinated with teriyaki sauce. A common sight in Malaysian Japanese restaurants. Still find this better compared to other premium restaurants. Maybe it is just Japan

The best Takoyaki I had in my life. This one beats any Takoyaki that you can find in Malaysia. The egg is made to perfection and accompanied with a sweet taste. This one is filled with octopus. I think out Malaysian restaurants should learn to be like the Japanese and not be greedy with the ingredients. HAHA

Last but not least. The most authentic dish of all. More of a traditional food which is called Cold rice. You can actually see ice inside the bowl together with the rice. Normally it is up to what you like to add into the bowl. Since it is my first time eating, I decided to stick to the menu which was tofu, sea weed and cucumber.

I kind of forgot what it is called in Japanese, but you can find it at almost all the restaurants. It is like out porridge but cold and sweet. It doesn’t make you full like the normal porridge.

You will be given a sauce and you will pour the whole thing into the rice. It acts like water but it is not. The sauce is watery and sweet. All I can say is, after eating a bowl, you will have the urge to eat more. It is a must try if you ever go to Japan.

Well, that is all for now. It is getting pretty late and I need to get some sleep. I can barely open my eyes and yet I still managed to finish this post. See how much thought I put into blogging. Goodnight!
